MP BREITKREUZ HOSTS PASSPORT CLINIC IN HUDSON BAY
YORKTON —Garry Breitkreuz, Member of Parliament for Yorkton-Melville will offer a passport clinic on Saturday, April 21st, at St. Patrick’s Anglican Church, 216 Churchill St, Hudson Bay, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“I’m looking forward to holding this clinic in the community of Hudson Bay. Taking advantage of this service makes the process of an out-of-country trip somewhat less complicated.”
A passport clinic serves as a one-stop facility. Participants may pick up applications upon arrival at the clinic or prior to the clinic at any Canada Post office. Volunteers will be on hand at the clinic to assist constituents in completing their applications.
An on-site photographer will take passport photos at a cost of $20 (including tax), payable in cash only.
The cost of 24-page passports are $87 for adults (16 years of age and older), $37 for children three to 15 years and $22 for children under three years. Payment can be made either by major credit card or certified cheque or money order payable to the Receiver General for Canada.
Please note that passports are not issued at these clinics.
Applicants must bring one piece of current government issued ID (Driver’s Licence, health card, etc), as well as their original birth certificate. They should also bring along a guarantor–someone with a valid passport who has known them for at least two years. (Those whose guarantors are unable to accompany them may still attend and mail their applications independently.)
Questions regarding passport applications or the clinic itself may be directed to Mr. Breitkreuz’s office in Yorkton (call 1.800.667.6606). More info can also be accessed at the Passport Canada website (www.passportcanada.gc.ca/).
