JUSTICE
DEPARTMENT RESPONSE – January 6, 2003
“I
must advise you that a search of the records under the control of the Department
of Justice has revealed none on this subject.
However, officials from the Firearms Centre related that 616,209
envelopes were mailed out, of which 24,600 were undeliverable by the Post
Office. The return of 24,600
envelopes as undeliverables represents 4% of the 616,209 mailed.
The Firearms Centre tracks the number only and does not track the reasons
for these undeliverables.”
