entered in the Restricted Weapon Registration System (RWRS).
Please provide a copy of reports describing the reasons for this mailing

JUSTICE
DEPT. RESPONSE – Dated November 18,

“The
reason for the RWRS mail out earlier this summer was to ensure that individuals
who had firearms registered in the previous RWRS database system re-register
their firearms into the new Canadian Firearms Registration System database.”
“The
total number of envelopes mailed for this notice was 389,939, and the
total number of undeliverables we have received to date is 11,801.
We are tracking the counts only and do not track the reasons for these
undeliverables.”
SOMETHING’S NOT RIGHT HERE
– WHY DIDN’T THEY MAIL NOTICES TO THE OTHER 39,377 INDIVIDUALS IN THE RWRS?
