With
respect to the RCMP’s response to File: 01ATIP-35644 dated January 3, 2002
regarding the status of the Firearms Reference Table, please provide a list of
the 237 air gun models “identified cc2 firearms – definition of
firearms” and a list of the 38 air gun models “deemed non-firearms
for the purpose of registration.”
A list has been created in
accordance with your request. However,
the numbers quoted in the request do not match up with this list.
This information is gathered from the Firearms Reference Table (FRT)
which is a live database. As a
result, record numbers continuously fluctuate.
The numbers you are quoting in the request may have been actual record
numbers at one point-in-time on the FRT.
The
report we have provided is the total number of records in the FRT as of
2002-02-05 in accordance with the parameters requested (air gun models, as CC2
Firearms or Deemed Non-Firearm for the purpose of registration).
