Feds Defer May 1, 2020 Order in Council Confiscation Deadline until October 30, 2023
In a long-anticipated move, the Government of Canada has announced a deferral of the May 1, 2020, Order in Council that currently bans 2,015 different makes and models of common firearms, to October 30, 2023.
No reason was given at the time of this writing, but it is assumed that the staggering costs and enormous manpower required for the confiscation is likely the reason.
